Israel has been restrained

Israel has much for which to answer. And it has some gruesomely dark patches in its history (Chatilla and Sabra tweak a memory?). But it cannot be denounced for acting without restraint in this most recent action. Nor is it reasonable to try put “proportional response” in any scales that tip against Israel’s strikes into Gaza.

It is simply incomprehensible to me that any French citizen could honestly believe he would want his government to act with such restraint if the Corsicans started hurling missiles at random French cities.

Does anyone believe that if Cuba starts lobbing dynamite, let alone rockets, into Florida that the response would not wait months and years. It wou
